I think the whole of Ireland are praying for a scoreline of Mexico 2 – France 0 … With Mexico opening the scoring with an own goal from Thierry Henry powerful shot, in off his face)  and the second goal a penalty after Henry handballed ( he was caught this time ) in the box. The Irish referee (Mr. K. Arma) had no option but to give the spot kick and then dismis from the field by the ref.

Who knows. … This could happen !!

There are only a few more days that you can see the shuttle and ISS together, as the shuttle will soon depart the ISS and return home. The times of the next few sightings of the ISS and Shuttle are listed below. Interestingly the times that you can see the ISS are not much different in the UK than they are in Ireland. – Anyway, the dates and times for sightings listed below are for Waterford but should be valid for most of the south of Ireland. The way the weather has been recently I haven’t even caught 1 glimpse of the ISS. The next few sightings are in the early morning starting again in December.

Note – the ISS goes usually from South West to South South East and you will need a decent line of sight to the horizon.

There are only a few more Shuttle launches left before the Shuttle fleet retires … I think in 2010.

UFOs Spotted – We are being invaded – run for your lives….

Hundreds of people gathered to watch an amazing colorful UFO Spectacle in the sky along the famous Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night.

The UFO light show was hovering in the sky when it opened fire attacking the nearby city  … sorry, actually it didn’t, and its not UFOs,  It was “Untitled (UFO),” an amazing urban artwork created by American Peter Coffin.

It was Art work all along – We are not being invaded, please do not go on a killing spree – This is a test of the emergency UFO alert system.

The ShaneMcDonald.com website which I ran from 1999-2008 is back up an running…  in some form atleast.

No longer the alumni site it once was … thanks to Linked In and Facebook it died a death over a few years. Now I am running a blog style site with humour jokes and the content which made it so popular.

At one stage in 2008 I got 102,000 visitors over a 3 day period, then some hacker placed some SQL injected code and the site was removed from the Google index. So when I saw this happening I decided to pull the site and do a clean down of the content – as it was beginning to get hard to maintain etc.

I just saw a National Geographic programme where they replied to all the Spam which came into their email. They sent a reply saying, “Thank you Very Much, Please Send more” and apparently 1 in 10 persons admin to buying something which was advertised on a Spam email.

The programme explained how Spam worked and why people send Spam. Also, it explained how Malware could be used to steal your baniing details.

In a few days they had over 1,000 emails.  So it probably didn’t work out too well.

I actually tried this myself. I got sick of Spammers  sending “You have won the Euromillions Draw”, so I replied saying that I did not believe them and to stop emailing me or I would start legal proceedings.
Unbelieveably, they replied telling me that it wasn’t a hoax and I actually did win the draw. These people must think people are thick.

I don’t think there will ever be an end to Spam, as long as people click or use purchase things via Spam.
